OVHcloud unveils AI & quantum platforms to boost digital autonomy
OVHcloud has announced a series of new offerings aimed at supporting organisations adopting artificial intelligence and quantum computing technologies. The company is launching new tools for professional digital twins, enhanced AI infrastructure, a support programme for software vendors, and its first commercial Quantum-as-a-Service platform.
AI and autonomy
Octave Klaba, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, addressed the changing technology landscape facing European businesses. Klaba noted significant shifts, pointing to concerns over digital dependency and the rise of artificial intelligence across sectors.
"Three major shocks have recently upended long-held assumptions: Europe's political awakening to its digital dependency, the determination of European businesses to regain technological autonomy, and the revolution brought about by AI. Everyone now recognises that generating demand is essential to enabling the emergence of digital champions. In this context, I want to reaffirm OVHcloud's ambition: to become a global cloud and AI provider capable of supporting the entire economy and playing a systemic role," said Octave Klaba, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, OVHcloud.
Digital twin tools
OVHcloud is introducing a new solution that enables the creation of professional digital twins, powered by the company's OmisimO AI chat and the integration of the SHAI coding agent. Developers can use these tools in a trusted environment to build and operate AI agents for tasks that emulate the work of real employees or systems.
Advanced AI infrastructure
In partnership with SambaNova, OVHcloud will offer new AI infrastructure options designed for large-scale inference workloads. The platform supports high-capacity, low-latency compute resources, enabling customers to operate performance-intensive AI agents across both real-time and batch processing tasks. These capabilities are aimed at organisations needing reliable performance for complex AI deployments.
Programmeme for software vendors
The company is commencing a new programme titled 'Get your SaaS ready for AI', aimed at helping software vendors integrate agentic AI into their products. The programme includes opportunities for training, code sharing, hackathons, and support for integration into OVHcloud's OmisimO marketplace, designed to accelerate the adoption of AI in the software-as-a-service space.
Quantum platform launch
With more than 1,000 users already working with OVHcloud's quantum emulators, the business is extending its quantum offerings by launching its European Quantum Platform. The service, delivered as Quantum-as-a-Service, now grants access to Pasqal's 100-qubit Orion Beta QPU. OVHcloud plans to add eight further systems-seven of which will be based in Europe-by the end of 2027. The company says this expansion is intended to broaden access to quantum computing for enterprise and research purposes.
"Quantum computing will redefine economic frontiers through unprecedented computing and simulation power. OVHcloud is positioning itself at the forefront of these breakthroughs and bringing the entire ecosystem with it," said Klaba.
Expansion in Europe
OVHcloud reaffirmed its intention to increase its international presence and capacity. The company has launched three-availability-zone (3-AZ) data centres in Paris and Milan, offering virtual private servers (VPS) and public cloud products. A new 3-AZ zone in Berlin is planned, targeting the resilience needs of businesses in Germany.
Industry focus
Central themes for the company include AI, cloud security, international expansion, and digital sovereignty. Executives from Bouygues Group, LCH SA, Bitdefender, and CommerzReal are participating to discuss industry challenges around security, sovereignty, and technology changes. New solution launches are intended to strengthen OVHcloud's ability to meet client priorities across these themes.
"A collective approach is essential to successfully delivering ambitious projects. Our ecosystem brings together digital starters and digital scalers, as well as public institutions and large listed companies, both in France and internationally. Our services and solutions support them and foster collaboration that drives society's digital transformation." concludes Klaba.
