Schneider Electric named HPE Momentum Edge Partner of the Year

Thu, 2nd Jul 2020
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Schneider Electric has been named the HPE Momentum Edge Partner of the Year for 2020 at this year's HPE Partner Growth Summit Virtual Experience.

The awards recognise partners from across the HPE ecosystem for their performance, customer commitment, growth and innovation, and professional achievements.

"I'm proud to recognise our channel partners who raise the standard of business excellence and demonstrate continued commitment to our joint customers," says HPE's vice president of worldwide sales, Paul Hunter.

"HPE is dedicated to enabling our partners with tools and solutions that will spark innovation in their own business. By collaborating and growing together, we are able to deliver the outcomes our customers need to prosper.

The Momentum Edge Partner of the Year 2020 is a newly-created category this year.

Schneider Electric and HPE first partnered in 2016 on a project to produce joint architecture for micro data center solutions for the intelligent edge.

The companies have since collaborated on the HPE Edge Centers – first in 42U and 23U, with a recently added 6U to the portfolio.

Schneider Electric explains that these integrated, standardised and repeatable solutions are designed with IT – servers, storage and networking – and physical infrastructure – rack enclosures, UPS, PDU, security and environmental monitoring.

EcoStruxure IT and HPE OneView working together offering integrated remote management software with automated workload management that moves the workloads and virtual servers around to increase resiliency and availability. These also provide predictive analytics to decrease failures - Schneider Electric believes this can lead to higher uptime and increased efficiency.

"We are proud to be recognised for our collaborative efforts in bringing commercial and industrial edge together with operational technologies for the benefits of our customers," says Schneider Electric senior vice president of commercial operations, global channels and alliances, Chris Hanley.

"We look forward to growing this critical relationship with HPE to continue developing innovative new solutions that empower our customers to leverage the edge for their businesses."
HPE states its partner ecosystem includes 80,000 partners, and it is still growing.

The company states the partner ecosystem "is an essential part of HPE, and a key extension of our own sales and technical teams. HPE views its channel partners as a proven, and powerful force in driving growth, and often the first step in delivering our industry leading innovation to the market.

The HPE Partner Growth Summit was held as part of HPE Momentum Virtual. The event went online as many countries still face border and travel restrictions due to COVID-19.
