Farrington's background covers research, policy and climate technology, with previous experience at SATAVIA and an academic role at the University of Cambridge. He holds a doctorate from Cambridge, with further research conducted at Harvard, and is a published author in both academic and mainstream publications.
Shah Sidek will lead Dataswyft's global government affairs strategy. His responsibilities include collaborating with regulators and institutions toward building responsible data ecosystems with a citizen-centric approach. Sidek continues to serve on Malaysia's Data Commission Committee and has acted as a judge and mentor for entrepreneurship programmes and as an adviser to global organisations.
Evelyn Lee will oversee the company's global communications and brand strategy, which includes messaging, media relations, and content development. Holding over 20 years' international experience, Lee has worked in senior agency and in-house roles across Singapore, the United States, China, and Myanmar. She previously led client strategy at The Hoffman Agency and Blanc & Otus, before leading digital marketing transformation and stakeholder engagement for Oxford Immunotec across the Rest of Asia region.
Leadership perspective
"These appointments significantly enhance our ability to navigate the complex intersection of technology, regulation and global growth. Each leader brings a unique blend of expertise and global experience that will be instrumental in advancing our mission to build a fairer, more equitable data economy across borders and sectors," said Professor Irene Ng, CEO and founder of Dataswyft.
The strengthening of the leadership team forms part of Dataswyft's broader efforts to support the global move towards Smart Data infrastructure. The goal is to equip both individuals and institutions with tools to control, exchange, and unlock the value of personal data securely, responsibly, and in ways that enable interoperability.
