Vertiv expands Liebert GXE UPS lineup with 1-3kVA models

Vertiv has announced the expansion of its single-phase UPS portfolio with the introduction of the 1kVA to 3kVA capacities of the Vertiv Liebert GXE.

The system is an online double conversion, single-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed for 230V applications. This development aims to support critical applications deployed at the network edge and is now available in multiple regions including Asia, EMEA, and Latin America.

The new capacities complete the Liebert GXE family, offering a range from 1kVA to 10kVA and are ready for immediate shipping. The UPS is available in a compact tower-only model or a flexible rack/tower convertible design. It delivers efficiencies of up to 91% in online mode and up to 96% in ECO mode.

The UPS features a battery management system designed to prolong battery lifespan and minimise the need for replacements. Its output power factor of 0.9 allows for a higher number of active loads to be connected in a given space, and its online double conversion technology is intended to protect equipment from power disturbances.

The Liebert GXE rack/tower models offer scalable runtime capabilities for applications requiring extended backup during power outages. This scalability is achievable by adding up to four external battery cabinets, which benefit from a fast recharge time thanks to a powerful 6 Amp internal charger.

The hot-swappable VRLA batteries are user-replaceable without requiring skilled personnel or powering down the loads, which can lead to reduced maintenance costs and smoother operation. Additionally, the UPS features an intuitive LCD display to show its status, making installation and operation straightforward. Remote monitoring is facilitated through the optional Vertiv Liebert Intellislot Unity Communications card and a complimentary Vertiv Power Insight software download.

The UPS comes with various limited warranty extensions and service programmes tailored for single-phase UPS systems. These service programmes are available in select countries, and interested parties are encouraged to contact their local representative for specific availability.

Additionally, Vertiv has a reseller incentive programme in participating EMEA countries. Resellers can earn points through the Vertiv Incentive Programme (VIP) for various activities, including the sales of the Liebert GXE and other products within Vertiv’s IT channel portfolio. Bonus points are added to the Vertiv Partner Portal monthly, where partners can redeem them without the need for reporting.
