Fri, 22nd Dec 2023

The Uptime Institute has taken a strategic move to bolster their global expansion efforts with the appointment of Mustapha Louni to the newly created role of Chief Business Officer. His responsibilities will encompass both global sales and marketing for Uptime, as well as maintaining oversight for operations in the Middle East, India, Africa, and the Asia Pacific regions. Tasked with the objective of driving strategic leadership and enhancing client success on a global platform, Louni's appointment signifies a renewed and amplified commitment by Uptime to perpetuate excellence within the data centre sector worldwide.

Martin McCarthy, CEO of Uptime Institute, voiced his confidence in Louni's capabilities. He noted, "These complex and nuanced market demands require a visionary talent like Mustapha Louni. He is someone who can not only deftly manage specific aspects of the business but also remain ahead of accelerating changes and trends." McCarthy emphasised Louni's ability to inspire colleagues and clients while delivering on demanding commitments as key reasons for his appointment and expects Louni to "expand the impact that he has already brought to Uptime since his arrival".

Louni joined the Uptime organisation back in 2014 in the UAE, drawing on his wealth of experience from roles at Panduit and Schneider Electric in Paris and Dubai. As Uptime's first commercial resource in the Middle East & Africa region, Louni was instrumental in Uptime's regional expansion. His strategic approach saw what became Uptime's fastest-growing regional office established within a year. Throughout his tenure, Louni has further extended the company's impressive trajectory of growth from MEA to the Asia-Pacific regions, garnering dedicated team members across multiple countries and inaugurating a new Uptime office in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) this year.

For the past three decades, Uptime Institute has been on a mission to ensure that mission-critical computing needs can be confidently met and understood by organisations around the globe.
