HAProxy Technologies has recently announced that industry veteran, Tim Bertrand, is set to take on the role of President. Bertrand is stepping in to further the growth trajectory of HAProxy, the world's most highly adopted software load balancer leveraged by millions of users worldwide including prominent organizations like Vimeo, LinkedIn, Booking.com, Docker, Nokia, and AWS.
Tim Bertrand is joining the company during a period of significant revenue growth, widespread community adoption, and groundbreaking product development. His wealth of experience in open source and enterprise software equips him well to guide the executive management team at HAProxy. Bertrand will be leading the global sales, marketing, and finance organizations under the direction of the company's CEO, Dujko Radovnikovic.
In an official statement, CEO Radovnikovic expressed his enthusiasm for the change in leadership, mentioning Bertrand's vast experience in scaling fast-growing technology firms and his evident passion for open source. Before his new appointment, Bertrand served as the President of Global Field Operations at project44 for four and a half years. His tenure at project44 saw the company's revenue scaling to over $100M. Prior to that, Bertrand held the dual role of Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Sales Officer at open source firm, Acquia for almost a decade. He was pivotal in leading the global sales organization to forty consecutive quarters of record revenue growth and amassing over $200M of recurring revenue. His leadership prowess led to Acquia's recognition as the fastest-growing private company in the United States from 2009 to 2013, as indicated in Deloitte's annual Fast 500 report. At the 2016 Stevie Business Awards, Bertrand was honoured as the Global Sales Executive of the Year. As an experienced investor and board member, Bertrand has also offered his expertise to a variety of start-ups in creating superior go-to-market functions.

Bertrand's arrival follows an exceptional year for HAProxy Technologies, which saw a 17% increase in employee count, several key product releases, reaching the 500 million downloads milestone on Docker Hub for the HAProxy Docker Image, and distinctive recognition in 178 different G2 reports with a lead in Load Balancing, Container Networking, DDoS Protection, and Web Application Firewall (WAF). In the Load Balancing category, HAProxy's Customer Satisfaction Score was an impressive 30 points above its closest rival, reflecting the company's ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction.
