Pure Storage launches dedicated distributor programme in APJ

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Pure Storage has launched a new distributor programme in Asia Pacific - Japan.

The programme was designed in consultation with its distributors at last year's Pure Global Partner Forum and introduced earlier this year in EMEA and Latin America. T

The company marked the launch with its first APJ Distributor Summit in Singapore bringing together all its distributors in the region for the first time.

Reinforcing Pure's commitment to a partner-centric go-to-market, the new programme adds a strategic layer of support and enablement for distributors to drive growth, add scale and extend Pure's reach into new markets and sectors to better serve customers.

Created in consultation with existing distributors, the new programme includes critical elements necessary for distributors to build autonomous ‘Pure Certified' practices, and industry-leading business development incentives supplemented with ongoing programme investments, marketing support, and access to Pure's systems, tools, and processes.

“There are a number of factors for Pure's success and these include our disruptive all-flash innovations, our commitment to customer success and the best partner programmes in the industry,” says Pure Storage global distribution director Scott Goree.

“To continue to grow and scale, we need to have the right distribution partners, in the right markets, with the right skills, drive and commitment, to maximise the exciting opportunities ahead. This programme ensures we will retain and attract the partners who recognise the value of closer alignment with Pure and share our commitment to hyper-growth and market share gains.

The new programme is already gaining traction with Pure introducing three new distributors at its Singapore Summit.

The new distributors are SB C-S Corp, a division of Softbank Group Corp in Japan, Bestcom in Taiwan and PT Exclusive Networks in Indonesia.

"Throughout our relationship with Pure Storage, the team has been receptive to our feedback on what our customers want,” says Dicker Data Cisco and Pure Storage group general manager Vickie Madeleine.

“The newest changes that have been introduced to the programme will enable us to strengthen our operations and services. For example, as a Cisco distributor, there is a unique opportunity to build out FlashStack, in addition to Cloud and AI solutions. We're only scratching the surface right now and can see wonderful opportunities ahead.

Earlier this year, Pure Storage entered into the hybrid cloud market with the acquisition of Compuverde, a developer of file software solutions for enterprises and cloud providers.

Based in Sweden, Compuverde brings to Pure Storage an ecosystem of technology partnerships and a scalable software solution that is deployed across global organisations in telecom, financial services, and media industries.
