Princeton Digital starts USD $1 billion data centre in Jakarta

Fri, 21st Nov 2025

Princeton Digital Group has commenced construction on a 120 MW hyperscale data centre campus in Greenland International Industrial Centre, Bekasi Regency, Greater Jakarta. The new campus, named JC3, will serve hyperscale and artificial intelligence (AI) workloads and is among the largest planned in Indonesia.

Site location

The JC3 campus will be situated 25 kilometres from the company's JC2 facility in Cibitung.

The new campus will feature dual-grid power feeds from PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN Persero), which has already contracted the full power capacity required for the project. The facility will be carrier-neutral and offer multiple fibre routes to Jakarta's central network and principal internet exchanges, supporting connectivity for a range of clients.

Investment details

The JC3 development represents an investment of USD $1 billion. The campus will use modular construction methods intended to deliver scalability and faster deployment.

The project is scheduled for phased delivery, with the initial phase targeted for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Technical features

The centre is designed for both high-density workloads and conventional data requirements. It incorporates direct-to-chip cooling technology, with the capability to provide conventional cooling as necessary.

These features aim to support increasing demand for compute capacity driven by rapidly growing AI applications and digital infrastructure requirements in Indonesia.

Sustainability measures

JC3 aligns with Princeton Digital Group's commitment to reach Net Zero by 2030. The campus will leverage renewable energy and target Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. It builds on experience from the JC2 facility, which was the first in Indonesia to use biomass power. JC3 includes next-generation liquid cooling intended to support energy efficiency and higher environmental performance in handling advanced computing operations.

Industry context

Indonesia continues to be one of the fastest-growing digital economies in Asia Pacific, with sustained demand for cloud and AI processing. The addition of JC3 will increase Princeton Digital Group's total data centre capacity in Indonesia to approximately 230 MW. This capacity expansion strengthens the company's profile among data centre operators in the region, supporting both domestic and global enterprise customers.

"Indonesia is one of the fastest-growing digital economies in Asia Pacific, and we remain deeply committed to supporting its continued growth. Backed by a proven track record of delivery excellence across the region, our JC3 campus is purpose-built to provide the scale, performance, and sustainability our global and local customers require as cloud and AI workloads accelerate," said Varoon Raghavan, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Princeton Digital Group.
