FYI, this story is more than a year old

The fourth DataCentres North Conference and Exhibition opened in Manchester today and is due to finish on Wednesday 2 May.

Focusing on the needs and developments of data centres, servers and comms rooms, telecoms and other mission critical environments in the northern United Kingdom, the annual event wasted no time in delving into relevant issues with an exhibition hall and three conference rooms focusing on operational, strategic, and live workshops respectively.

The aim of the free-to-attend event, exhibition director Hugh Robinson says, is to explore how to get the most out of data centres while looking at the regional opportunities and infrastructure that will help develop the market across the region.

"As the organisers of DataCentres North, we are committed to working with all sectors involved in the data centre industry to build a quality event which can grow and deliver buyers, specifiers and those responsible from across the regions and beyond."

And of course, you can't forget the networking opportunities! Check out some of the photos below.
