Peer Software expands partner programme for hybrid file data

Wed, 22nd Apr 2026 (Yesterday)

Peer Software has launched an enhanced Partner Programme, broadening support for resellers and technology partners serving customers with distributed file environments.

The programme targets value-added resellers and technology partners, particularly those focused on government, media and financial services. It also extends to system integrators, managed service providers, distributors, and cloud and technology partners.

The revised structure adds larger incentives tied to revenue growth, new training courses, additional enablement materials, and certifications for companies in its partner network. Peer Software is also introducing a dedicated Partner Success Team to support onboarding, deal progression and technical issues.

A central element of the update is the inclusion of the Peer File System Analyser, which partners can use to assess storage infrastructure. The tool is designed to help them identify optimisation opportunities and qualify customers more quickly.

The changes come as companies review infrastructure to support AI workloads and broader digital transformation projects. Against that backdrop, Peer Software is positioning the programme around the challenge of managing file services across edge locations, data centres and public cloud environments.

Partner Focus

The revised programme includes vertical-focused tracks with sector-specific resources, use cases and go-to-market support for selected industries. These tracks are aimed at priority sectors including government, financial services, and media and content.

Peer Software has also expanded its partner certification and training curriculum. The updated courses cover advanced architecture, deployment practices and performance optimisation.

Co-sell and marketing support are another part of the new structure, including joint demand generation campaigns, strategic positioning assets and lead referral processes.

Peer Software develops file management and orchestration software for enterprise organisations. Its products are used to manage file data across distributed environments, including edge, data centre and cloud settings.

The company argues that file data is becoming more fragmented as organisations spread applications and storage across multiple locations. That creates a role for partners that can help customers manage synchronisation, protection and collaboration in hybrid environments.

Roger Austin, Vice President of Alliances and Channel, outlined the company's view of that market shift.

"Today's enterprises need partners who understand modern data challenges and can architect solutions for scale, performance, and intelligent automation," said Roger Austin, Vice President of Alliances and Channel, Peer Software.

He said the partner update is intended to support customers dealing with increasingly complex infrastructure.

"Our enhanced Partner Programme equips resellers and strategic alliances to help customers navigate expanding hybrid environments across the edge, data centre, and public cloud. As file data grows more distributed, organisations face increasing complexity in synchronising, protecting, and collaborating on it," Austin said.

Channel Push

The move reflects a broader effort by enterprise software suppliers to build closer relationships with channel partners as customers seek outside help with infrastructure modernisation. Vendors increasingly rely on resellers, integrators and managed service providers to identify demand, package services and support deployments in specialist sectors.

For Peer Software, the inclusion of an assessment tool in the programme points to an emphasis on earlier-stage customer engagement. By giving partners a way to review storage estates, it aims to support sales conversations around fragmented file services and data placement across multiple environments.

The focus on specific industries also suggests Peer Software wants partners to frame offerings around sector needs rather than a single general message. Government bodies, financial institutions and media organisations often manage large volumes of file-based data across dispersed systems, making them likely targets for suppliers specialising in synchronisation and storage visibility.

The updated programme is intended to give partners more resources to pursue that demand, combining sector support, technical tools, training and a dedicated support function.
