Outcomex has appointed Michael van Zoggel as Chief Executive Officer, with founder Marco Delgado moving to Founder and Chairman.

The Australian technology services company has also given senior roles to Ben Blaschka and Holly Garbutt as it reshapes its leadership team.

Van Zoggel succeeds Delgado after serving as Managing Director since 2020. He joined Outcomex in 2014 and has held senior responsibility during a period of business expansion.

Delgado founded Outcomex in 2012 and has led the company for 14 years. In his new role, he will remain involved in strategic direction, partnerships and support for the leadership team.

The appointments reflect Outcomex's long-term direction as it sharpens its focus on cyber security, managed services and AI-related work. The company works across networking, cyber security, data centre and cloud, collaboration and digital transformation services for government, enterprise and mid-market customers.

Alongside the Chief Executive Officer change, Sales Director Ben Blaschka has been appointed Chief Revenue Officer, while Holly Garbutt has moved from Account Executive to National Sales Manager.

As Chief Revenue Officer, Blaschka will oversee sales, customer experience, alliances and broader go-to-market activity. Garbutt will lead the national sales team and focus on sales execution and consistency across the business.

Leadership change

Delgado will also continue working on other businesses he founded outside Outcomex, including 365mesh, an Australian AI and IoT company established in 2021, as well as newer ventures Lucendus and ThreatCanary.

The leadership transition comes as many Australian technology service providers respond to demand for cyber security services and AI-related advisory work, while trying to maintain growth in core infrastructure and managed services. Outcomex said its latest structure is intended to support that next stage.

"These appointments represent an important milestone in the continued evolution of Outcomex and position the business strongly for its next chapter of growth. Over the past 14 years, we've built something special, and I've always believed that when you surround yourself with great people, back them and give them the opportunity to succeed, amazing things can happen. Seeing Michael, Ben and Holly step into these roles makes me incredibly proud. We have a highly capable and experienced leadership team, supported by a talented group of dedicated technologists, and I have every confidence in their ability to continue growing the business, driving innovation and delivering outstanding outcomes for our customers," said Marco Delgado, Founder and Chairman, Outcomex.

Van Zoggel said the changes are designed to provide continuity while expanding the company's capacity for further growth. He has taken on responsibility for overall leadership and day-to-day direction.

"Outcomex has always been built around its people, customers and commitment to delivering genuine business outcomes. I am honoured to take on the role of CEO and look forward to working with Marco, Ben, Holly and the entire Outcomex team as we continue to invest in our capabilities, support our customers and build the next phase of the company," said van Zoggel.

He also highlighted the areas where Outcomex plans to keep investing, including managed services, cyber security and AI-enabled offerings, alongside its existing engineering base and customer relationships.

"Technology is moving quickly, and our customers need partners who can help them navigate what's coming, not just respond to what's already happened. We're continuing to invest in managed services, cyber security and AI-enabled capabilities, while building on the engineering expertise and customer relationships that have brought us this far. There's plenty of opportunity ahead of us. The important thing now is making sure we turn that opportunity into something meaningful for our customers," said van Zoggel.

Commercial focus

Blaschka's appointment as Chief Revenue Officer formalises a broader brief than his previous sales role. The position reflects closer alignment between sales, alliances and customer engagement as Outcomex pursues national growth.

The change suggests Outcomex is seeking a more integrated commercial model at a time when technology services firms are under pressure to deepen customer relationships rather than rely only on project-led work. It also places greater emphasis on recurring services and cross-functional account management.

"I've always believed leadership isn't about the title you hold. It's about the people you surround yourself with, the opportunities you create for them and what you can achieve together. I'm fortunate to lead an incredible group of people who genuinely care about our customers and the outcomes we deliver," said Ben Blaschka.
