GovWare 2025 in Singapore to unite over 13,000 global experts

Thu, 9th Oct 2025

The GovWare Conference and Exhibition 2025 is set to bring together over 13,000 participants from more than 90 countries and regions in Singapore.

The event will be held from 21 to 23 October 2025 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. It will gather policymakers, enterprise and cyber leaders, cybersecurity professionals, and academics to discuss the current realities of digital trust, innovation, and resilience within an evolving cyber landscape.

This year's event theme, "Cyberspace: Of Starbursts, Black Holes, and Last Frontiers", has been inspired by the complex and expanding nature of both the internet and cybersecurity. The theme aims to prompt discussions on the advancement of cybersecurity, its synergy with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing, and the wider ramifications of these technological shifts in social and geopolitical contexts.

Conversations and themes

Over 170 speakers from industry, government, and academia will share their expertise on a broad range of topics. These will include AI, digital trust, incident response, cloud security, geopolitics, supply chain trust, and efforts in building sustainable cybersecurity ecosystems.

Confirmed speakers at the conference are Royal Hansen, Vice President of Engineering at Google; Ir. Dr. Megat Zuhairy bin Megat Tajuddin, Chief Executive of the National Cyber Security Agency at Malaysia's National Security Council; Eng Choon Goh, President of Cyber at ST Engineering; H.E. Marta Pelechová, Special Envoy for Cyberspace from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Czech Republic; Col Clarence Cai, Defence Cyber Chief at Singapore Armed Forces; Alex Stamos, Advisor to CEO and former Chief Information Security Officer at SentinelOne; Esa Joffel, Inspector of Cybersecurity at the Finnish Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority; and Dr Alejandro R.-P. Montblanch, Quantum Defence Lead at HSBC.

"GovWare 2025 represents more than a convening. It is a strategic platform to address the shifting realities of cyberspace. As threats become more systemic and technologies more complex, we are sharpening our focus on foresight, trust-building and accountability. GovWare continues to be where critical conversations take shape and where real-world solutions are advanced."

Ian Monteiro, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Image Engine, which organises GovWare, said this year's edition is designed to address the convergence of innovation and risk that is reshaping approaches to security, governance, and international cooperation.

Government and industry participation

This year's conference will also focus heavily on government and institutional involvement. Closed-door sessions and briefings, including the Government Closed-Door Session (GCDS) and GCDS - Threat Intel briefing, will provide operational insights and updates from leading agencies such as the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies, the Digital and Intelligence Service, Government Technology Agency of Singapore, and Infocomm Media Development Authority.

GovWare 2025 will highlight cybersecurity innovation from the region's startup ecosystem, with companies participating through the Infocomm Media Development Authority's Accreditation@SGD and Spark programmes. Country pavilions from the Czech Republic, France, and Finland will also present their solutions and capabilities at the exhibition.

Exhibitions and forums

The main exhibition, which is expected to attract over 300 exhibitors, will feature a range of technology solutions from established multinational corporations as well as regional firms and research institutions. Key highlights include Cisco's live Security Operations Centre, offering attendees a look at real-time threat detection and response activities. Other major exhibitors are Check Point, Ensign InfoSecurity, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Security, and Huawei, among others.

Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) will become a focal point through sector-specific forums for financial services and healthcare. These invite-only forums will bring together senior cybersecurity leaders, policymakers, and businesses to share insights and address challenges specific to their industries.

The event will also host the inaugural AISec, presented alongside Trend Micro, focusing on safeguarding artificial intelligence models and infrastructure. This session will explore best practices for managing AI-related risks and examine how AI is being used to counter modern cyber threats.

GovWare 2025 is organised with the support of the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore and serves as the anchor trade platform for the Singapore International Cyber Week. The conference aims to strengthen links between public and private sectors, reinforce Singapore's position in regional cybersecurity, and facilitate cooperation for a resilient digital future.
