Commvault invests in A/NZ with new sales VP

03 Feb 2020

Commvault has appointed two new APAC execs – Prasanna Gulasekharam as A/NZ sales area vice president and Dino Soepono as APJ channels & alliances regional vice president.

Gulasekharam will be responsible for driving sales execution excellence and expanding growth across Australia and New Zealand.

Gulasekharam has achieved significant sales and service provider business growth in New Zealand since 2015 when he was appointed as Commvault country manager.

This experience brings established internal relationships across global, regional, and local levels as well as a proven sales track record with a win-as-team leadership style, in addition to extensive local and regional partner ecosystem engagement.

“I am excited to be given this opportunity to lead the A/NZ team at this pivotal moment in Commvaults evolution,” says Gulasekharam.

“We are establishing a new global vision based on the strong foundations of innovation, great products and the best customer support available in the market. I know our offerings are the most respected in the market and I am excited about the opportunity we have to be a pioneer in the next generation of data value delivery.

“I am privileged to be able to build from a very solid foundation in ANZ, and together with my team and partners, have the right conversations with our customers to ensure protection, control, and accessibility of their data that will make them successful now and in the future.”

The appointment represents an expansion of the foundation for the Commvault business in A/NZ, while marking the evolution of Commvaults go-to-market approach and strategic vision for innovation and growth locally and across the Asia-Pacific region.

“A/NZ is a critical market for Commvault APJ, we are deepening our commitment there with a laser focus on innovation and customer experience,” says Commvault APJ sales vice president Callum Eade.

“Customers globally and everywhere in ANZ no longer want but expect to be able to achieve competitive advantage and business value from their data. I am excited to have Prasanna, who is well known and respected by the team, bringing his proven leadership to the wider A/NZ business. I am sure that together we will drive sustainable regional growth while creating a new generation of data management experience and value for our users.”

Prior to Commvault, Soepono led the channel & alliances function for APJ for Apptio, managing a diverse APJ partner base delivering software-as-a-service offerings.

“I’m excited to be part of the team that will accelerate Commvaults continued growth in the region,” said Soepono.

“I look forward to working with our distributors, resellers and alliance partners to better enable them to deliver more strategic value to their customers.”
