Brisbane’s DC market continues to expand

iseek, a service provider to the enterprise & government sectors today announced it is expanding its Eagle Farm data centre campus located in Brisbane, Queensland.

The current Eagle Farm data centre, launched in 2010 established a new benchmark in energy efficiency through technology innovation, winning the WSP Award for Best Sustainable Development – New Buildings, at the Property Council of Australia/Rider Levett Bucknall Innovations and Excellence Awards in 2012.  

The new expansion builds on that innovation, growing iseek’s portfolio of energy efficient data centres in Australia.

The expansion is the third iseek Brisbane data centre, and the second to be located in the same precinct. 

The new data centre will be an Uptime Institute Tier 4 rated, 6MW purpose-built greenfield facility significantly expanding iseek’s footprint in the Queensland market for data centre services targeting Q1 2020.  

In addition, further expansion In May this year will see the opening of the new purpose-built iseek Townsville Data Centre.  iseek is one of the largest data centre providers in the Queensland market.
