Big Data Exchange (BDx) has announced the relocation of the company's global headquarters to Singapore, with the aim of creating new career opportunities and increasing data center offerings and energy effectiveness.

The company says they will triple investments in this growing data center and cloud managed services market and increase their Singapore based workforce by 100%.

There will also be a significant emergence of senior leadership in the country, with the company increasing their senior staff on the ground from 20% to 90%. This will allow leaders to immerse themselves further in the country's current tech climate.

With Singapore being the second-largest data center housing region globally, the Government of Singapore has initiated the Smart Nation initiative to drive digitisation across policy processes and urban environments. Data centers will play a crucial role in helping meet demand and foster further growth as part of this expansive scheme.

BDx currently has major centers in digitisation hubs like Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Nanjing. With the new Singapore HQ, the company says this proves its commitment to expanding its global footprint. They also say focusing on one of the world's strongest economic and political landscapes will help further drive innovation.

Sustainability is also a key factor in the new development, with BDx applying its expertise and solutions in sustainable construction, tracking and management for the betterment of the market in line with Singapore's high standards.

BDx CEO Braham Singh says the development will usher in the next generation of technology solutions, and the company is proud to be based in such a positive growing market.

The company also recently announced a range of other Singapore based announcements, including the launch of 360View. This new technology is a groundbreaking data center agnostic platform delivering critical carbon tracking and hybrid environment monitoring, and will help further drive sustainable and innovative practice.

There is also an ongoing partnership with Sembcorp and the National University of Singapore to develop proof-of-concept and pave the way for offshore data centers to address Singapore's land scarcity and energy efficiency challenges.
