ADLINK wins seven Taiwan awards for AI edge systems

Thu, 8th Jan 2026

ADLINK has received seven Taiwan Excellence Awards for 2026, in a sweep that underlines the Taiwanese company's focus on AI edge computing, smart manufacturing, transportation and medical systems.

The awards, now in their 34th year, recognise products including industrial computers, AI platforms, server modules and sector-specific systems for healthcare and mobility. ADLINK said the wins reflect its product design approach of "smart, reliable, and sustainable".

The company's recognised portfolio covers AI-driven industrial PCs, development kits for server-class computing and certified platforms for autonomous driving and rail. It also includes a new medical panel PC for critical hospital environments.

Industrial AI focus

The EMP-520 Industrial Mini PC and Digital Signage Player is one of the key award-winning systems in smart manufacturing and AI computing. It uses an Intel Core Ultra processor with integrated GPU and NPU architectures. It supports up to four independent display outputs with EDID emulation. This aims at accurate resolution management across multi-display installations.

ADLINK's SP2-MTL Open Frame Panel PC also features Intel Core Ultra H-series Meteor Lake processors. The company positions the system for customisable deployments at the edge of industrial networks. It uses a modular design and offers expansion options. It supports NVIDIA embedded MXM modules and Power over Ethernet expansion. The company is targeting applications in edge AI, real-time image processing and machine vision.

The Ampere Altra Dev Kit, another award recipient, is a COM-HPC server-class modular computer development kit. It is based on the Ampere Altra system-on-chip. The device uses the Arm Neoverse N1 architecture and scales up to 128 cores. ADLINK said this combination of performance and energy efficiency applies across cloud and edge scenarios. The company links the platform to its broader work in heterogeneous computing and open-architecture modules.

Transport systems

ADLINK has also drawn recognition for platforms in smart transportation, covering road vehicles and rail networks. The ADM-AL30 Autonomous Driving AI Decision-Making ECU uses a 12th-generation Intel Core processor. It offers expansion with an NVIDIA RTX 4000 SFF Ada GPU that carries NVIDIA-qualified certification. The unit includes multiple high-speed Ethernet and CAN interfaces. It complies with the ISO 16750 automotive environment testing standard and carries E-Mark automotive-grade certification.

The AVA-1000 Expandable Vehicle-Mounted T2G Gate Access Control and the AVA-7200 Fanless Railway Edge AI Server target vehicle communication and railway monitoring. Both systems support 5G, Wi-Fi and GNSS. They handle multi-channel data transmission. The products are certified to the EN50155 standard for railway applications and are designed for operation in harsh conditions.

The AVA-7200 is intended as an edge AI server for trains and related infrastructure. It sits alongside the AVA-1000, which the company positions for access control and telemetry in vehicle fleets. The combination marks ADLINK's push into integrated AI-based monitoring across public and commercial transport.

Medical computing

In healthcare, the MLC-S Medical-Grade All-in-One Panel PC has also been selected for a Taiwan Excellence Award. The system runs on 12th or 13th-generation Intel Core processors. It uses a screwless, fanless design. It has obtained MDR, FDA and IEC 60601 medical safety certifications.

ADLINK said the panel PC targets operating rooms and intensive care units. The company is focusing on both ease of operation and clinical safety in these settings. The device sits alongside ADLINK's existing medical computing range, which spans bedside terminals and clinical workstations.

The firm highlighted its broader strategy around AI and sustainability. "ADLINK Technology emphasized that winning seven Taiwan Excellence Awards not only recognizes its continued investment in technological innovation but also demonstrates the company's achievements in its three strategic directions: "AI Empowerment × Smart Applications × Sustainable Innovation." Rest assured, ADLINK will continue collaborating with global ecosystem partners to deepen the integrated application of AI and sustainable innovation, propelling industries into a new era of smart technology," said ADLINK Technology.

The seven award-winning products are the EMP-520 Industrial Mini PC and Digital Signage Player, the SP2-MTL Open Frame Panel PC, the Ampere Altra Dev Kit, the ADM-AL30 Autonomous Driving AI Decision-Making ECU, the AVA-1000 Expandable Vehicle-Mounted T2G Gate Access Control and the AVA-7200 Fanless Railway Edge AI Server. ADLINK said it will extend this product roadmap as industrial, transport and medical customers expand AI deployments at the edge.
