Very Mobile migrates to AWS cloud for enhanced business efficiency
Fri, 1st Mar 2024

Very Mobile, the semi-virtual operator of the CK Hutchison Group, has migrated Qvantel Flex BSS to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud to increase business efficiency and agility. This was announced by Qvantel, a globally recognised digital Business Support System (BSS) leader, on 26th February 2024 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona.

Qvantel Flex BSS, a digital enabler, allows Very Mobile to quickly adapt and respond to market opportunities and changing customer behaviour. In doing so, it provides the best possible customer experience at all touchpoints. Employing a low/no-code approach promotes configuration over coding. This operational shift has helped Very Mobile to consistently achieve a high net promotor score since the two companies began their partnership.

According to Pierre Obeid, Chief Information Officer (CIO) at WINDTRE, the migration of Qvantel Flex BSS to AWS cloud opens new avenues of efficiency for Very Mobile. He said, "The combination of agility and efficiency delivered by Qvantel and AWS is a winning combination that we will use to grow our business. We have worked with Qvantel since Very Mobile first launched service, and this implementation is the next chapter in this partnership."

Ruben Lopez, VP of Delivery at Qvantel, expressed pride in the successful migration project for Very Mobile in Italy's fiercely competitive market. Being a longstanding partner of both Very Mobile and AWS, Qvantel is pleased to witness this transition to the cloud. Lopez highlighted the significance of this migration, emphasising how Qvantel and AWS's collaboration will provide Very Mobile with a notable competitive edge and enable them to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

Lopez noted, "As a long-term partner of Very Mobile and AWS, we are proud to see this migration to the cloud. The Italian market is extremely competitive, and Qvantel and AWS will deliver an extra competitive advantage to Very Mobile and help them deliver exceptional customer experiences. This is proving Qvantel's constant capability to deliver to leading operators and be a real trusted partner."

Qvantel's innovative no/low-code approach enables Communication Service Providers (CSPs) to develop and launch new offers and processes swiftly, in merely hours rather than months as traditionally required. In the evolving digital telecoms and 5G markets, Qvantel Flex BSS aims to meet the need for unprecedented agility in BSS. It facilitates swift adaptation to new opportunities, fostering a platform for business innovation and delivering the best possible customer experience.

Qvantel, headquartered in Finland with over 20 offices worldwide, is a product-based global company. It focuses on transforming innovation into business value for its customers, which include leading CSPs, telecom groups, Mobile Virtual Network Enablers (MVNEs) / Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) and digital-first sub-brands.
