Network Service Providers may have its heritage and brand wrapped up in WAN optimisation, but things have certainly changed for the system integrator in recent years.

The company just last month merged with a specialist IT solution architecture firm Password. The combined entity now employs 15, has expertise in a diverse set of IT disciplines, boast a team of strategic enterprise solution architects and can claim to have joined the ranks of full service system integrators.

The merger with Password brings new capabilities to NSP, but more importantly it brings capacity. The combined team has ambitious growth goals around the following five disciplines:

- Virtualisation

- WAN optimisation and networking

- Enterprise Storage & Fluid Data

- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

- Cloud both private and public

Within these disciplines there have been some impressive customer wins, with an airport adopting the companies wireless digital camera security solution, the Cook Islands government using their WAN optimisation skills, and a massive 220 hectare agricultural project using their wireless expertise and so on.

It’s heritage of WAN optimisation with partners like Extreme Networks remain in place, but new partnerships with the likes of Dell have extended them into architecting enterprise server and storage solutions, with Maxnet into cloud offerings and with Fastcom into enterprise grade internet connectivity for customers.

This new culture of partnering even extends into the company’s impressive Parnell offices, where large dashboards monitor their customers systems and connections using N-able Technologies monitoring solutions. NSP has won a number of Managed Service awards in partnership with N-able.
