Lenovo DCG moves Knight into A/NZ general manager role

Lenovo Data Center Group (Lenovo DCG) today announced the promotion of Nathan Knight to general manager for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).

Having worked with Lenovo DCG for almost five years now based in New Zealand, Knight will now relocate to Sydney where he will be tasked with managing and growing the company’s data centre business across A/NZ.

Knight will report to Lenovo DCG Asia Pacific president Sumir Bhatia.

“Nathan has played a key strategic role in the rapid growth of the Channel program for Lenovo DCG,” says Bhatia.

“His relentless energy, love of collaboration, and rigor in execution have led to a host of successes, and positioned him perfectly to drive the A/NZ DCG business forward. We look forward to welcoming in the New Year with Nathan at the helm.”

According to Bhatia, Knight is known for his strong strategic, commercial, and people leadership, with a proven track record in change management, business turnaround, and delivering rapid growth in competitive markets.

Most recently Knight headed up Lenovo DCG’s Channel and SMB business in A/NZ, but in aggregate brings 15 years of experience in the industry, including a decade in senior roles across product management, sales, and general management at Acer, HPE, Ingram Micro, and TalkingTech to add to his already mentioned time with Lenovo.

Knight is taking over the DCG A/NZ leadership role from Rob Makin, who is moving to a global role as executive director and general manager of Lenovo’s Worldwide Device as a Service Business.
