Ingram Micro NZ opens up converged infrastructure revenue stream in Vertiv deal

Ingram Micro New Zealand has inked a deal with Vertiv, which will see the distributor providing the vendor's complete range of products and services in New Zealand.

The deal will see the two companies targeting industries including telecommunications and internet services, banking and finance, transportation, power, logistics and retail among others.

The lines of Vertiv products which Ingram Micro will carry for the New Zealand market include critical power, thermal management, racks and enclousures, monitoring and services under the Choloride, Liebert and Trellis brands.

Vertiv – previously Emerson Network Power – has a customer base in New Zealand which includes Chorus and Xtreme Networks.

Daniel Sim, Vertiv Asia channel business director, says Ingram Micro will be delivering ‘a broad and deep spectrum of technology and supply chain servies to our solution partner community'.

“Vertiv will continue to bolster its position in New Zealand as a catalyst in adotpion of pioneering edge computing implementations,” Sim says.

Gary Bigwood, Ingram Micro New Zealand executive managing director of Technology Solutions, says Vertiv's solutions open up additional revenue streams for Ingram Micro resellers who are active in the converged infrastructure space.

“Our channel partners are enthusiastic about the new opportunities,” Bigwood says.

“Ingram Micro is the only New Zealand distributor that can provide specialist resellers with a full range of hardware and software for data centers and enterprise level infrastructure solutions, which makes Vertiv the perfect fit for our partners.
