Infoblox unveils new partner program in cybersecurity
Fri, 2nd Dec 2022
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Infoblox, the firm providing cloud-first networking and security services, has unveiled its new partner program, designed to maximise opportunities that partners can secure and deliver.

The new Skilled to Secure program enables partners to build up their competencies and deliver the increased ROI on security investments that their customers demand. In addition, it reflects the changing security landscape, shifting customer requirements, and the need for providers of security solutions and services to adapt in response.

“The rules of cybersecurity have changed,” explains Chris Millerick, Vice President, Worldwide Partner Sales at Infoblox.

“Customers want more than just another security solution or tool, they have dozens, if not hundreds, already. What they want is to drive more value from their current environment by making it more effective. That’s where Infoblox comes in.”

In the new program, partners will be assigned levels based on their acquisition of the competencies required to deliver Infoblox BloxOne, the first cloud-native platform providing DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IPAM) and DNS data-enabled threat detections.

Integrated into the security ecosystem, BloxOne enables DNS data to address blind spots in enterprise threat defence and security systems. As a result, internal and external threats can be identified, prioritised, and remediated in a fraction of the time.

Infoblox values its ANZ distributors, and with these distributors already selling multiple security products, the new program will align Infoblox with the overall security stack and provide distributors with the power to co-align solutions where they see fit.

“Distributors and partners hold multiple security vendors and deliver solutions that address customers' needs around the threat landscape, leveraging what the customer has already purchased and driving better visibility, remediation, and security posture. Our new 'Skilled to Secure' program helps provide the intelligence and alignment that will allow our partners to drive the most impactful customer outcome," says Danny Mesrop, Infoblox's Channel Director for APJ, based in Sydney.

Infoblox is one of a handful of companies that have removed revenue and bookings as a requirement for the program.

"Our goal is to drive focus to the right customer outcome – and that starts with leaning into our partners’ existing security capabilities, adding Infoblox credibility to their GTM, and addressing customer need,” adds Mesrop.

“Our commercial incentives and benefits are connected to the technical quality, value-added offerings and world class support that are expected from distributors and partners that participate in the ‘Skilled to Secure’ program.”

“Time and Investment in the partner community is the one of the hardest commodities to obtain. By leveraging their existing skillset in the security stack and combining that with Infoblox’s Intelligence, we can address multiple security challenges in a ‘better together’ environment.”

“Australia is one of the most mature security markets in APJ. Applying a program of this calibre to an already mature customer and partner landscape will deepen our penetration into existing and new customers, by leveraging existing partner capabilities.”

The Skilled to Secure program is built around three tracks designed to deliver support across the channel: value-added reseller and systems integrator, service provider, and value-added distributor.

Based on their track record and meeting the defined competency requirements, the partners’ awarded levels will be announced in May 2023.

Benefits that partners can gain through the new program include partner-hunted sales incentives and deal registration, Guardians of the Network rewards and incentives, marketing campaigns, marketing development funds, and demonstration software.

“We recognise that an exceptional customer experience requires a level of trust, one that only highly skilled and competent technology partners can provide. Infoblox is privileged to offer partners a program that helps them acquire the competencies required to stand out and grow in the cybersecurity market,” adds Millerick.

Infoblox’s distributors in Australia and New Zealand include Exclusive Networks, and Orca Tech, among others.
