FYI, this story is more than a year old

Epsilon announced the further expansion of its connectivity platform in the United States via the establishment of key interconnect locations at the 1025Connect data center in Long Island, New York, and the NJFX Tier 3 colocation campus in Wall, New Jersey.

Situated at the “Continental Edge,” these interconnect points will feature Epsilon's on-demand connectivity platform, Infiny, establishing the easternmost SDN exchange in the USA.

Epsilon will be offering service providers seamless access to Internet Exchange (IX) Peering, cloud, content, local networks and submarine cable systems directly from within 1025Connect and NJFX.

Epsilon's Infiny on-demand connectivity platform brings the speed and agility of the cloud to networking.

It makes procuring and managing global connectivity simple with 24/7 access to services via its intuitive web portal or APIs.

Infiny is supported with bespoke intelligent networking technology that enables it to offer guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS) and Experience (QoE), end-to-end and around the world.

With the availability of its Infiny platform at the Continental Edge, Epsilon provides access to an interconnected mesh of subsea cable providers, enabling connectivity between Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, as well as across Epsilon's North American network and colocation facilities.

Epsilon is already interconnected with the Aqua Comms cable system and will be further diversifying its submarine connectivity options from 1025Connect and NJFX.

Operators connecting to Epsilon at 1025Connect and NJFX will also benefit from direct connections to the leading cloud and IX providers, including access to a wide range of peering solutions via the region's fastest-growing carrier-neutral IX provider, DE-CIX North America.

Jerzy Szlosarek, Epsilon CEO says, “The strategic positioning of its U.S. interconnect hub enables Epsilon to provide customers with high-speed international connectivity as well as access to a wide range of cloud and IX providers.

“We are excited to enter into this next phase of development and to unlock the geographic advantages that 1025Connect and NJFX offer.

Epsilon also facilitates on-demand Ethernet and wavelength services into leading Manhattan interconnect hubs with 10G and 100G wavelength services.

The company will enable two diverse routes from its Point of Presence (PoP) at 1025Connect into Manhattan, including one to 60 Hudson and another to 111 8th Ave, bypassing congested and costly fiber paths.
