Coriant will soon be powering major Singapore data centers, after Racks Central selected the company to interconnect major centers in the area.

Racks Central specialises in large-scale complex IT systems, operates a Tier 3 ready and carrier-neutral data center space in Singapore for local and international clients, including SMEs, large enterprises and ISPs. The company was looking for small-footprint, hyper-scalable and high-performance connectivity between major data centers in the region.

“We are committed to investing in cutting-edge technology that will allow us to offer our customers cost-effective access to the region’s growing cloud and data center ecosystem. To provide value-added data center connectivity solutions along with our colocation services, Coriant is an ideal partner for Racks Central, and their best-in-class DCI solution enhances our ability to quickly respond to our customers’ evolving service needs and capacity requirements very cost effectively,” says Bobby Wee, Chief Executive Officer, Racks Central.

The company also chose Coriant for its ability to boost capacity from 10 Gbps to 1 TBps. Coriant says it is also able to integrate cost-efficiency and scalable data center services in the booming Asia Pacific demand for cloud services grows.

"As enterprises and OTT providers throughout Asia Pacific increasingly rely on cloud and data center connectivity for their business success, the demand for flexible and reliable interconnect services is rapidly growing. We are pleased to partner with Racks Central and provide the technology innovation that will create the scalable foundation for differentiated colocation service offerings optimized for the interconnection needs of their end-user customers,” says Petri Markkanen, Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific, Coriant.

Coriant will be using its Coriant Groove G30 DCI platform, powered by Coriant CloudWave Optics. The solution will also include the Coriant  7100 Pico Packet Optical Transport Platform, which is a solution that supports 1G, 10G and 100G services across optimized data centers.

Coriant believes these solutions will improve Racks Central's cost-effectiveness and customise its carrier-neutral connectivity services.
